The State Company Ukrspecexport, which is part of the State Concern Ukroboronprom, has signed a contract for the modernization and repair of Pakistan Air Force aircraft within the framework of the Arms and Security 2021 international specialized exhibition, according to the company’s press service.
In particular, a contract was signed with Pakistani partners for the repair of Il-78 tanker aircraft, which can be used as a military transport aircraft and is designed for air refueling of military aircraft.
“Over the past year, this is the second signed contract for the repair of the Il-78 for the Pakistani Air Force. In June 2020, Ukrspecexport won a multimillion-dollar tender there for the repair of a tanker aircraft. Based on its results, the State Company Ukrspecexport signed a contract with the Pakistan Air Force Procurement Department for the repair of military aircraft. The contract was successfully completed by the Mykolaiv Aircraft Repair Plant, which is part of the Concern," Ukrspecexport CEO Vadym Nozdria said.
In addition, during the second day of the exhibition, the Ukrspecexport management held a number of negotiations with high-level foreign delegations, in particular of Poland, Lithuania, Slovakia, Egypt, Nigeria, Vietnam, and the United Arab Emirates.
As Ukrinform reported, the Arms and Security 2021 exhibition is held at the International Exhibition Center in Kyiv on June 15-18.
