Health Ministry updates list of red-zone, green-zone countries in terms of COVID-19 spread.

Ukraine's Health Ministry has updated a list of red- and green-zone countries in terms of the COVID-19 threat.

The relevant list of countries with a wider spread of COVID-19 as of October 16 has been published on the ministry's website.

The list is formed according to a single indicator, namely the number of patients per 100,000 people.

The list of red-zone countries consists of over 40 states, including Andorra, Czech Republic, Israel, Montenegro, Belgium, Netherlands, Argentina, Bahrain, France, Great Britain, Spain, Iceland, Moldova, Armenia, Lebanon, Luxembourg, Slovakia, the United States, Slovenia, Malta, Romania, Ireland, Oman, Switzerland, etc.

The indicator of patients with COVID-19 in Ukraine is 176.5 per 100,000 people as of October 16.

Ukraine puts in the red list the countries where the number of new active cases per 100,000 population over the past 14 days exceeds that reported in Ukraine.

All those who arrived in Ukraine from the red zone must either go for self-isolation for 14 days, or pass a PCR test within 24 hours, or come to Ukraine with negative test results at hand, received no later than 48 hours prior to border crossing. Foreigners must have a valid health insurance policy on them upon entry.
