Minister for Veterans Affairs Yulia Laputina has discussed the issue of supporting Ukrainian veterans with Robert J. Faucher, Acting Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of Conflict Resolution and Stabilization Operations.
In a tweet, Faucher expressed hope for cooperation with the Ministry of Veterans Affairs to support veterans of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
During the meeting, the parties discussed efforts “to reintegrate combat veterans into Ukraine's society.”
“Looking forward to continued collaboration with our Ukrainian partners to provide these heroes the support they deserve,” Faucher wrote.
It is noted that Laputin is currently on a working visit to the United States.
As Ukrinform reported, on August 11, Laputina said 6,100 veterans had been employed in Ukraine last year, while more than 900 had started their own businesses.
