NATO PA recognizes Russia as terrorist state

The NATO Parliamentary Assembly has called for the creation of a special international tribunal over the aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and recognized the Russian Federation as a terrorist state.

The head of the Permanent Delegation of Ukraine to the NATO PA, people's deputy from the "Servant of the People" faction in the Verkhovna Rada, Yegor Chernev, wrote this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"The NATO Parliamentary Assembly called for the creation of a special international tribunal over Russia's aggression and recognized it as a terrorist state," Chernev said, adding that the corresponding resolution would be sent to the governments and parliaments of all NATO member states.

According to him, all 30 NATO countries supported the proposals of the Ukrainian delegation.

The politician said that such a tribunal would provide an opportunity to bring to justice not only the direct perpetrators of war crimes, but also the top leadership of the Russian Federation.

In addition, he said that the resolution included the proposals of the Ukrainian delegation, in particular, to increase the supply of weapons to Ukraine, to develop certain steps regarding the accession of the Ukrainian state to NATO, to create a mechanism for collecting reparations from the Russian Federation for the damage caused to the country.

He also noted that the resolution, on the initiative of the Ukrainian side, envisages that NATO will support Ukraine as long as it takes.

As Ukrinform reported, on October 13, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe adopted a resolution declaring the Russian Federation a terrorist regime.
