Ukrainian army kills 29 Russian invaders, destroys observation post in south.

Ukrainian forces have killed 29 Russian aggressors and destroyed a significant amount of military equipment of the enemy in the south of the country over the past 24 hours.

The Operational Command South said this in a Facebook post, Ukrinform reports.

"On the line of contact in the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions, the enemy continues to conduct hostilities on the occupied frontier and improve the fortification of its positions. The enemy did not create new strike groups and did not conduct active offensive operations. Instead, they conducted air reconnaissance of our positions, but as a punishment for it they lost an Orlan-10 reconnaissance drone after an accurate shot from our fighters," the statement said.

A cruise missile fired at the Odesa region was shot down, the statement said.

In addition, Ukrainian units destroyed an observation post of a strike formation of the enemy in the Kherson region. Control of units by the enemy is lost.

In total, as a result of missile and artillery activity of the Ukrainian military with the support of aircraft, the enemy lost 29 soldiers, an upgraded T-72B3 tank, a Msta-S self-propelled howitzer and other armored vehicles.

Ukrainian defenders also destroyed a Giatsint large-caliber gun and a Pion self-propelled gun, the Operational Command South said.
