Australia has already provided $420M in aid to Ukraine.
Australia has already provided AUD 655 million (USD 420 million) in security, economic, and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine.
"Without a doubt, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is the greatest threat to European security since World War II. But not only. The world is so interconnected that a threat to Europe of this scale and such a level of disregard for the established rules and norms of international behavior is a threat to all of us, no matter where we are in the world," Richard Sadleir, Australia's Ambassador to Austria, the country's Permanent Representative to the UN and other international organizations in Vienna, said at the 29th Meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Łódź, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
Australia condemns the Russian invasion of Ukraine in the strongest possible terms, he emphasized.
"We are steadfast in our support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine – the fundamental principles underpinning the Helsinki Final Act and the rules-based international order," Sadleir said.
According to the ambassador, Australia works closely with international partners to support Ukraine and hold Russia to account for its actions. Australia has already provided AUD 655 million (USD 420 million) in security, economic, and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine, he added.
"We are proud to stand with Ukraine and we will continue to do so as long as it takes," said the representative of Australia.
As reported, the 29th Meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council is taking place in the Polish city of Łódź on December 1-2. The discussion is focused on the Russian Federation's ongoing war of aggression against Ukraine.
