«What can I say?» Anatoly Tymoshchuk says he represents Russia, responding to accusations against Zenit.

Assistant head coach of Zenit St. Petersburg Anatoliy Tymoshchuk has denied accusations that the club is relying on Brazilian legionnaires. The traitor to Ukraine noted that the current Russian champions do not violate any regulations and represent the aggressor country.

Tymoshchuk said this in a commentary to bookmaker-ratings.ru. According to the ex-footballer, who continues to shamefully keep silent about Russia's criminal war against his native country, Zenit acts in favor of Russian sports by relying on allegedly high-class players.

"What should I say? As Andrey Lunev (Zenit goalkeeper - ed.) said in a recent interview, we act within the rules. They are the same for everyone, we are no exception. We do not violate anything. We are trying to strengthen any line with high-class, high-quality players. We represent Russia," Tymoshchuk said.

It is worth noting that Zenit's starting lineup includes eight Brazilians and another naturalized representative of this country. Given that the St. Petersburg-based club has an administrative resource, Zenit regularly gets a lot of abuse from fans and journalists.

Recently, the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne (CAS) registered a lawsuit against Tymoshchuk to strip him of all his titles in Ukrainian football. Anatoliy refused to condemn Russia for its attack on Ukraine and only managed to squeeze out a small Instagram post in which he simply called for peace.

Later, it was reported that Tymoshchuk is trying to obtain a Romanian passport. The Zenit coach is trying to circumvent the sanctions imposed on him by the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC).

In addition, the network revealed that the traitor to Ukraine was recruited by the Federal Security Service (FSB), which is the reason for his silence on the war in Ukraine. The ex-footballer's ex-wife, Nadiia Navrotska, accused him of supporting Russia's invasion and involvement in the murders of Ukrainian children.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, Anatoliy Tymoshchuk shyly refused to comment on the deprivation of all his awards and exclusion from the list of players of the national team.
