This year, Ukrainian farmers should receive almost 116 million USD (2.9 billion UAH) of support from the state. Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture Tymofiy Milovanov reported this on the Freedom of Speech talk show on Ukrayina channel.
"We at the Cabinet of Ministers signed two resolutions on supporting the villagers this year in the amount of UAH 2.9 billion. These costs would be directed to 1330 farms," Milovanov said.
Milovanov promised to tell next week what the farmers need to do in order to get help from the state for livestock and gardening.
Earlier, the Minister of Finance Oksana Markarova reported that the draft state budget for 2020 provides for the allocation of 176 million USD (4.4 billion hryvnias) to support the agro-industrial complex.
Earlier Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine supported the draft law #2194, which allows the foreigners to buy the non-agricultural land plots outside built-up areas in Ukraine.
The document was present by the author Marian Zabolotsky, the MP of the Servant of the People.
“Currently, 100% of the income from the rent of these lands come to the particular local budgets. In other words, the village council receives the incomes from the rent of this land and the official in Kyiv decides who will rent it,” Zabolotsky noted.
According to him, the document corrects this situation.
“Its ideology is simple. It just destroys other corruption schemes, which remained in the Service of Ukraine for Geodesy, Cartography & Cadastre. You know that in fact, it is still State Land Agency. It agrees the state expert study of the land use documentation for a few times and the bill abolishes it; only one expert study remains. Besides, the procedures of the agreement on the lifting of ground cover of land plots; besides, the procedures of the certification of the land surveyors. All these are the corruption schemes,” the MP explained.
