Ukraine's Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture says the number of job seekers is growing in the country with 450,000 unemployed citizens officially registered nationwide.
That is according to the Ukrainian TSN TV news service, referring to the ministry on December 30.

In total, almost UAH 16 billion (US$566.2 million) in unemployment benefits has been paid since the beginning of 2020, it added.
- According to the worst-case scenario of the UNICEF Children's Fund, the number of the low-income population in Ukraine may exceed 9 million people, including almost 2 million children.
- The best-case outlook suggests a 6.3 million increase in the number of low-income citizens in the country, of whom 1.4 million are children.
- The Fund says the share of Ukrainians living below the poverty line will expand from 27.2% to 43%-51% this year.
