Some UAH 12 bln transferred to NBU account to support AFU, UAH 11.
Since February 24, Ukrainians and foreigners have transferred UAH 12 billion in equivalent to a special account opened by the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), including in foreign currency from abroad - the equivalent of UAH 3.6 billion.
According to the NBU website, the money came, including from the United States, UK, Poland, Germany, Sweden, Finland, the Czech Republic, China, France and Canada.
According to the regulator, today the balance of funds on the special account is UAH 86 million.
The NBU transferred UAH 950 million to the needs of the National Guard, UAH 1.65 billion to the National Police, UAH 8.4 billion to the needs of the Ministry of Defense, and UAH 980.2 million to the needs of the State Border Service.
In addition, the account of the Ministry of Social Policy, which the NBU opened on March 1 for humanitarian purposes, received a total of UAH 282.4 million in equivalent, including UAH 143 million received from abroad in foreign currency.
