Prime Minister of Italy Giorgia Meloni will soon pay a visit to Ukraine, for the first time since taking office last autumn.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said this in an interview to be broadcast on Italian TV Tuesday night, Ukrinform reports with reference to ANSA.
"She (Meloni – ed.) will come soon, I can't communicate the date, but soon," Zelensky said.
According to him, "her rhetoric is extremely clear” to him.
“I see Giorgia as pro-Italian and that is the most important thing: that she is pro-Italian and she supports Ukraine. And she supports common values. I'm really looking forward to her coming on an official visit to Ukraine,” Zelensky said.
As Ukrinform reported, Italian Prime Minister Giorgio Meloni in December said that she intends to visit Ukraine early next year.
