Biden says Ukraine's membership of EU 'very likely'.
U.S. President Joe Biden has said that it is "very likely" that Ukraine will gain full membership in the European Union.
He said this on Monday during his trip to Delaware, Ukrinform reports, citing the C-SPAN TV channel.
"I think that's what could very likely happen," Biden said when asked if he was confident that Ukraine would join the EU.
Biden also said it was unlikely that he would visit Ukraine during a trip to Europe this month to attend the G7 and NATO summits. He also noted that he and his administration are in constant contact with the Ukrainian leadership.
Earlier reports said that U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin paid an official visit to Kyiv in April.
