As of 15:00 Kyiv time, more than 1,100 Ukrainians have crossed the border with the countries of the European Union without visas, according to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
Most citizens used car checkpoints for travel (69%), while others (31%) preferred air services.
In total, almost 28,000 people crossed the border today, including about 7,000 citizens with biometric passports.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on June 11, the decision of the Council of the European Union to introduce a visa-free regime for short trips of Ukrainian citizens to 30 countries of the European Union and the Schengen zone came into force.
