BREAKING: Stoke-on-Trent, Coventry and Slough to enter Tier 2 coronavirus level in England.

Health Secretary Matt Hancock explained the decision to MP's speaking of the areas announced having an infection rate that have over 100 cases per 100,000 which he called 'concerning.

Stoke-on-Trent say they made the request for the move itself while Coventry and Slough have not responded.

It will mean people will be banned from meeting those from other households indoors, whether that's in their home or in a pub from Saturday.

The three-tier system for England was unveiled by Prime Minister Boris Johnson in a bid to simplify the rules, as countries see a winter spike.
