'Glimmer of good news' on COVID case numbers

The number of COVID cases announced in the UK has fallen for three successive days - but the effect of lifting most restrictions in England has yet to be seen.

Before the current COVID wave, scientists assessed the benefit of the vaccination programme against the small risk of side effects for those being jabbed.

Sky's data editor Ed Conway explains, the current high rate of cases has made the medical argument even more compelling.
