Two names are often listed among the world's richest people: Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani.
When the pandemic began, Mukesh Ambani was India's wealthiest person.
But now, Adani has replaced him. He is now the world's sixth richest person.
This year alone, Gautam Adani added 30 billion dollars to his wealth, outpacing all other billionaires.
But scores of Indians are being pushed into poverty as the gap between the rich and poor increases. According to Oxfam, two people per second. For more we go to DW's Charu Kartikeya in Delhi.
