A German company has opened a drone factory in Ukraine: what volumes are involved.

Quantum-Systems GmbH has opened a drone manufacturing plant and development center in Ukraine. The new facility is expected to increase production capacity to 1000 drones per year.

This was reported by the company's press service. It is noted that this new plant became the second Quantum-Systems enterprise in Ukraine.

It is planned to employ about 100 people by the end of this year. It is also expected that this new enterprise will be able to increase production capacity to 1000 drones annually, including the production of spare parts .

Quantum Systems plans to invest up to six million euros over the next two years. The opening of the plant took place on April 18 with the participation of German Vice Chancellor Robert Habeck and Minister of Strategic Development of Ukraine Oleksandr Kamyshyn .

Quantum Systems Vector reconnaissance drones have been used in Ukraine since May 2022. To date, 212 systems have been provided under the German Enablement Initiative. By the end of the year, 500 Quantum Systems reconnaissance drones are planned to be delivered to Ukraine.

As a reminder, German Vice Chancellor and Minister of Economy Robert Habeck arrived in Ukraine early on Thursday morning, April 18. His visit is expected to last for several days and be productive, especially as the situation at the frontline has become tense.
