Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal believes that the countries that will be the first to invest in Ukraine will benefit the most in the future.
Shmyhal made a corresponding statement at the Rebuild Ukraine business conference, according to the post on the Head of Government's Telegram channel.
"Those who are the first to invest in Ukraine will benefit the most in the future. During a speech at the Rebuild Ukraine business conference, organized by Canada, I called on Canadian companies to join the reconstruction of our country right now. Russian terrorists continue to attack civilian and energy infrastructure of Ukraine. I emphasized the importance of Canadian business assistance in meeting the critical needs of the state," the Prime Minister wrote.
According to him, the priority areas of investment are security and military-industrial complex, agricultural sector, energy, IT, and new infrastructure.
"We are negotiating with IFC and MIGA about war risk insurance to intensify investment attraction. $500 million Ukraine Sovereignty Bond issued by the Canadian government will also become an important tool for strengthening Ukraine. We thank Canada and Canadian companies for their support and interest in the restoration of our country," he emphasized.
