The non-binary participant of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 from Ireland staged an exorcism on stage and «lit up» the hall.

Ireland's non-binary representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, the eccentric Bambie Thug , lit up the Arena in Malmö, Sweden, performing at number 4 in the first semi-final of the contest. They impressed the European fans with an unusual performance and a spectacular song Doomsday Blue.

At first, the representative came on stage in a black grunge dress with feathers, and dark horns could be seen on the head of the "witch" Bambie. Later, they shed the costume and appeared in an extravagant outfit.

During the performance, there was a real "demonic" thing going on on stage: Bambie Thug lit candles around the pentagram, dancing with a mysterious mythical creature - a faun.

The competition track Doomsday Blue is an ensemble of different genres. According to Eurovision.TV, Bambie Thug breaks down gender and socio-political stereotypes, creating an era-defining sound that borders on elements of pop, rock, electronica, and more. The song of the Irish representative tells about the feeling of being overlooked for your potential and is also an ode to the queer community.

Throughout Bambie's performance, the Malmö Arena hall was filled with screams of European fans who were amazed by what was happening on stage. At the end of the song, the audience gave the participant a generous ovation. According to bookmakers' forecasts, Ireland has a good chance to take a high place in the Eurovision Grand Final. Popular bookmakers estimated the chances of the Irish "witch" at 5%, suggesting that they will take sixth place among the finalists.

Euro fans actively share their impressions on social network X (Twitter):

"I can't believe I just witnessed the best 30 seconds in the history of Eurovision, and this is from Ireland?"

"Ireland, you scared me".

"It's literally demonic".

"That was incredible, Ireland is going to win."

"I don't care if Ireland doesn't win, this is the best Eurovision performance ever."

"That was awesome!!! Ireland shows why they won 7 times... That's how you win back. One of the best performances I've ever seen."
