Latvia to send over 2,500 drones to Ukraine

The Latvian Ministry of Defense will transfer another batch of drones to Ukraine - more than 2,500 units worth 4 million euros.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by LRT with reference to the Latvian Ministry of Defense.

As part of the drone coalition, the next batch of drones will be gradually handed over to the Ukrainian Armed Forces in July. The first batch consisting of 300 UAVs will be delivered in the coming days.

Latvian Defense Minister Andris Sprūds said that the drones were manufactured by seven Latvian companies. This year, the Ministry of Defense has allocated 20 million euros for the needs of the drone coalition, of which more than 10 million are intended for the purchase of drones from the Latvian defense industry
