There will be no ceasefire during talks between Ukraine and Russia.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov says that Russia will not make "any pauses in the fighting" even after peace talks with Ukraine begin.

He said this in an interview with three Russian propaganda media, Censor.NET reports.

This was his response to reports that Turkey had prepared a draft "peace" treaty for the states that would freeze the war in Ukraine.

"The Istanbul Document contained guarantees... Article 5 of the Washington Treaty establishing the North Atlantic Alliance was considered the limit of seriousness. It was not reproduced verbatim, but several other forms were agreed upon... It was specifically written that these security guarantees did not apply to Crimea and Donbas, which, in general, meant that they could not be touched," Lavrov said.

"First of all, he (Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy - ed.) has banned himself from negotiations. Secondly, of course, there is no faith in them (Ukrainians - ed.)," Lavrov said, answering a question about the likelihood of negotiations.

At the same time, the Russian Foreign Minister emphasized that Moscow is supposedly ready for negotiations, but he considers it pointless to hold them with Zelenskyy.

He also noted that Russia would not discuss President Zelenskyy's "Peace Formula."

"We said we are ready for negotiations, but unlike the Istanbul story, we will not make any pauses in the fighting during the negotiations. The process must continue," the Russian minister summarized.
