Canadian singer Celine Dion , who has been struggling with a serious neurological disease – muscular stiffness syndrome – for a year now, took part in a glamorous photoshoot for Vogue. The star graced the May cover of the French magazine in provocative images.

She also told how she is waiting for a miracle and is being treated for a serious illness. The photo appeared on Vogue France's Instagram.

On the first cover, the 56-year-old celebrity posed in a pink soft dress that resembled a weightless cloud. Celine Dion exposed her delicate arms and shoulders and complemented the plush look with massive gold jewelry.

In the second photo, the artist was dancing with her hand covering her breasts. She wore only a wide-open shirt, black tights, and white mini-shorts.

The star moved naturally and easily as if defying her illness. As you know, muscle stiffness syndrome occurs in one or two people in a million and is currently considered incurable. Celine Dion is working with researchers to try to alleviate her symptoms.

"I haven't beaten the disease, it's still inside me and always will be. I hope that a miracle will happen, and we will find a way to cure it through scientific research, but for now, I have to learn to live with it. That's who I am, now with stiffness syndrome. Five days a week I undergo sports, physical and vocal therapy. I work on my toes, knees, calves, fingers, singing, and voice," the singer said.

The artist emphasized that she has the inner strength to fight, but she cannot say yet whether she will ever go on stage again. However, her photo shoot refuted rumors that she had lost control of her muscles.
