About one-third of veterans in Ukraine have unemployment status.
This was announced at a press conference by Karina Doroshenko, Deputy Executive Director of the Ukrainian Veterans Fund, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.
"Employers want to hire veterans because they have good leadership skills, stress resistance, endurance, and the ability to find solutions. Despite this, research shows that about 30% of veterans have unemployment status," Doroshenko said.

She noted that one of the reasons veterans say is that they are uncomfortable returning to civilian life or their previous jobs because they are used to being subordinate to their commanders and working with their comrades. Doroshenko noted that some of them are ready to start their own business, develop their own business, and invite their comrades to work.
At the same time, she said, someone wants to work as an employee. The deputy executive director of the Ukrainian Veterans Fund emphasized that employers need to develop forms of adaptation for veterans.

"We need to be able to find opportunities for veterans, use their new experience, and show them that they can adapt their competencies from their military career to civilian life," Doroshenko emphasized.
