A powerful fire has broken out in the Russian city of Omsk, with tanks with oil products on fire.

A massive fire broke out in the Russian city of Omsk on Thursday, April 25, and is being extinguished by helicopter. According to preliminary data, tanks with oil products are burning.

This was reported by Russian media. "Today, on April 25, Omsk residents noticed puffs of black smoke in the sky above Neftoviki," the report says.

According to local residents, a helicopter of the Russian Emergencies Ministry was flying over the fire site.

It is clarified that the fire occurred in the Krasnoyarsk tract area. The regional Ministry of Emergency Situations promised to provide information about the incident later. According to preliminary reports, there are no victims .

It is noted that fuel barrels are burning.

The fire was localized at 13:25, the fire area was 1000 square meters.

It is worth noting that on the night of April 24, Smolensk, Lipetsk and Voronezh regions of Russia were attacked by drones. Fuel and energy facilities, industrial infrastructure, an oil depot, and the Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant (NLMK) were hit.

According to Bloomberg, oil refining at Russian refineries in April 2024 fell to an almost annual low. Refineries produced only 5.23 million barrels per day, which is almost the lowest level since May 2023. The key reason for the decline was repairs to refineries that suffered from SSU drone attacks.
