Asparagus with jamon and poached egg: a delicious breakfast made from a seasonal product.
Asparagus is a very healthy plant that has gained immense popularity in recent years. However, the asparagus season is very short and lasts only from mid-April to early June. Therefore, it is very important not to miss the season of this plant and fully enjoy its interesting taste.
A food blogger with the nickname vika_marchenko__ shared an interesting recipe on Instagram. She told us how to cook asparagus with jamon, poached egg and cheese.
Ingredients
- Asparagus
- Butter
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Hamon
- Grana Padana cheese
- Cherry tomatoes
- Eggs
Method of preparation
1.Peel the asparagus and boil in salted water for 5 minutes.
2. Fry chopped garlic in butter, add asparagus and fry for 2 minutes on all sides.
3. Wrap the asparagus in jamon (if the stalks are thin, then two or three, if they are thick, then one).
4. Put the chopped Grana Padano on top.
5. Prepare the poached egg. Boil the water. Do not add anything. When the water begins to boil, turn the heat to low and add the amount of eggs you need. Do not stir or touch anything! Cook for 2.5-3.5 minutes, depending on the desired yolk density. Drain on a paper towel first.
6. Put the poached meat on the asparagus with jamon, pour the sauce to taste. Sprinkle generously with grated Grana Padano.
