How to make your lawn thick and healthy: a trick that only a few know about.

A beautiful and well-groomed lawn is the pride of any country house owner. To keep the grass thick, green, and healthy, it needs careful maintenance, so you can easily tell how well the property is taken care of.

However, there is one small tip that will help you get a lush and vibrant lawn with less effort. It was shared by the famous gardener David Domoni in a commentary for Mirror.

When spring comes, the days get longer and the weather gets warmer. These are great conditions to start preparing your garden for summer.

But, according to a professional gardener, many people in pursuit of a well-groomed and attractive lawn make one mistake that prevents grass from growing densely.

Dandelions

When it comes to the first mowing of the lawn of the year, it is worth remembering a plant such as dandelion.

ADVERTISIMENT

Even though most landowners think of dandelions as weeds, the little yellow plants are actually very beneficial to your grass.

They are a great source of food for pollinators, so these flowers attract birds, bees and butterflies. In addition, their wide roots also help to loosen up hard soil and oxygenate it.

Therefore, the first mowing should be avoided altogether in order not to damage the positive plants and let them thrive and develop.

However, if you don't want to give up the first mowing completely, then leave at least part of your garden wild.
