The Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights congratulates the Roma community on the significant event – the 50th anniversary of the International Romani Day,” the Office of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights posted on Telegram.
It is specified that the protection of the Roma national minority, the promotion of their rights on an equal footing with other citizens of Ukraine, their social, economic and cultural integration is one of the important areas of public policy.

In particular, the Ukrainian Ombudsperson emphasized the need for the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to approve the strategy for prevention of all forms of discrimination against the Roma national minority and for integration of its representatives into Ukrainian society until 2030.
