Air Force on destruction of Russian Tu-22M3: «It was vendetta for attacking peaceful cities».
The Air Force said it had shot down two X-22 missiles fired by a Tu-22m3 bomber for the first time. The aircraft itself was also destroyed.
This was announced by the spokesman of the Air Force, Illia Yevlash, Censor.NET reports citing Radio Liberty.
Yevlash also said that today, for the first time, air defence forces shot down two X-22 missiles fired by this Russian bomber.
"Of course, it's a combo. Today is a black day for the Russian propaganda media. I think they will be very, very unhappy today. Everything happens for the first time. We shot down a 'Kinzhal' for the first time, and a 'Zircon' for the first time. Now we have shot down a Tu-22 for the first time. Now we are waiting for the Tu-95," the spokesman added.
Earlier it was reported that one of the Tu-22m3 strategic bombers used by the occupiers to launch missile strikes against Ukraine crashed in the Stavropol Territory of the Russian Federation.
Later, it became known that for the first time, anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force, in cooperation with the DIU, destroyed a Tu-22M3 long-range strategic bomber.
