They will talk about the border blockade and more: the Ukrainian delegation has arrived for intergovernmental consultations in Warsaw.

On Thursday, March 28, Polish-Ukrainian intergovernmental consultations will be held in Warsaw to discuss the situation in agriculture, the Polish-Ukrainian border, joint production of ammunition, energy, energy transmission, and culture. The delegation from Kyiv has already arrived in the Polish capital.

The team of Ukrainian diplomats is headed by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal. In his Telegram, he said that during a meeting with his Polish counterpart Donald Tusk, he intends to "coordinate issues before a joint meeting of the governments."

"We will talk about weapons for Ukraine, the situation on the border of our countries, the development of trade and infrastructure," Shmyhal said, adding that he hopes for a pragmatic and constructive dialogue and the development of effective solutions.

According to TVN24, before the meeting, Jan Grabiec, head of the office of Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, said that "it is difficult to expect any breakthrough, any specific agreement, for example, on agriculture, from these talks." It is also noted that in addition to the face-to-face meeting between the two prime ministers, a meeting between the delegations , in fact, between the governments of the two countries, is also planned .

"We are still in dialogue, and both sides are not completely satisfied. We firmly stand by the legitimate demands of Polish farmers to protect the Polish market. Ukrainians are in a completely different situation," Grabiec said before the meeting.

He added that an important topic of the talks would be the entirety of Polish-Ukrainian relations and the importance of the two countries to each other.

At the same time, Tadeusz Ivansky, an expert at the Center for Eastern Studies, said that Ukraine is going to Warsaw for consultations primarily to "agree on the grain issue" with the hope of reaching a compromise. Kyiv appreciates Poland's military support in our fight against Russia, but Ukraine wants specifics in terms of military and financial assistance . Also, our country needs "to specify the assurances and statements made earlier on cooperation in the field of armaments, supplies of equipment and ammunition."

As reported by OBOZ.UA:

– Deputy Foreign Minister of Poland Andrzej Szejna said that on March 28, Ukraine and Poland are to sign a protocol of disagreements. He did not specify what exactly it was about but noted that the previous government's mistake was "that it deceived Polish women, Poles, and perhaps themselves," and that there were no disputes between Poland and Ukraine.

– A journalistic investigation by Skhemy and Gazeta Wyborcza states that sanctioned timber from Belarus continues to be imported into Poland. It is sold under the guise of goods from Kazakhstan, with forged documents.
