«Unfortunately» : head coach Rebrov makes a confession about the Ukrainian national team.

The head coach of the Ukrainian national team, Serhii Rebrov, admitted that he regrets that only 23 players can be included in the national team's application. The specialist attended Dynamo's training session and spoke about the squad for the upcoming European Championship.

Answering a question about new faces in the national team, Rebrov said that "you can always hope for that."

"Unfortunately, we have a limited application of 23 players, although we expected that there would be 26. This is an even greater responsibility on the players because there are only 23 places in the national team, and they have to prepare as much as possible to show their best qualities," the Dynamo press service quoted Rebrov as saying.

In addition, Serhii commented on the distribution of young players between the national and youth teams.

"The national team has always been a priority. Ask any footballer where he wants to play, and everyone will say that in the national team. This is the face of the country. And then we will deal with the candidates for the youth team," Rebrov said.

As reported, the Ukrainian national team will play Belgium, Romania and Slovakia in the group stage of the continental championship. Euro 2024 matches will take place from June 14 to July 14.
