IAEA experts detect outgoing artillery fire from Zaporizhzhia NPP.
Russians continue to use artillery on the territory of the occupied ZNPP.
Censor.NET reports this with reference to a statement by IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi.
"In addition to today's report of an attempted drone attack, IAEA experts heard several outgoing artillery shots earlier in the week, which has become a near-daily occurrence in recent weeks and months," the statement said.
According to Grossi, artillery fire near the site at some stage also triggered the alarms of cars parked near the administrative building of the ZNPP.
"I sincerely hope that our calls for maximum military restraint - both at the IAEA Board of Governors and the UN Security Council - will be heard before it is too late," the IAEA Director General stressed.
The statement also said that the Agency's team present at ZNPP was also informed by the Russian occupation administration that the IAEA radiation protection programme had been revised and was now "brought into line with the regulatory framework of the Russian Federation".
Grossi added that the Agency's experts "still have not received permission to visit all areas at the plant, especially the western side of the turbine halls, the isolation gates of the ZNPP cooling pond and the 330 kilovolt (kV) open switchgear of the nearby Zaporizhzhia thermal power plant".
Earlier it was reported that on Thursday 18 April, the training centre of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant was once again attacked by a drone.
