Coronavirus Africa: South Africa alcohol ban +++ Distrust in Cameroon hospitals - DW News.

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has reimposed a ban on alcohol sales and announced the return of a national curfew. South Africa is facing a rapid increase in coronavirus cases after loosening what had been one of the world's strictest lockdowns. Health officials are warning of impending shortages of beds and oxygen as caseloads climb. Ramaphosa said the restrictions on alcohol would free up beds in hospitals for COVID-19 patients.
The hospitals in the central African country of Cameroon already had a bad reputation before the pandemic. Now families who have lost loved ones are accusing doctors of covering up other causes of death by attributing them to COVID-19.
