Hawaii Volcano Lake Has Waves of Molten Lava

Video by the U.S. Geological Survey shows the lake of lava in a crater at the summit of the Kilauea volcano on Hawaii's Big Island.

Kilauea, one of the most active volcanoes on Earth, began erupting on Wednesday.

The eruption is not in an area with homes and is entirely contained within Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.

Officials say increased earthquake activity and ground swelling before the eruption put them on high alert.
