U.S. and Romanian forces conducted joint military drills in Smardan, Romania, Thursday, March 10, 2022.
Dubbed “Justice Eagle,” the live-fire exercise saw tanks and infantry from both countries testing their capabilities.
Organizers say the biannual exercise is not related to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, Romania’s eastern neighbor.
The U.S. and Romania are both members of the NATO alliance.
