The Ukraine Special Operations Forces on Friday (Jan. 20) released a new video that shows urban fighting to recapture Soledar in the Donetsk region.
“When Russian commanders drove their subordinates to the slaughter despite colossal losses, our soldiers used it as an opportunity to thin the ranks of the enemy as much as possible,” said the special forces on Telegram.
“Units of the Special Operations Forces continue their work in this direction, expertly destroying the Russian invaders,” it added.
On January 13, The Russian Defense Ministry claimed that it took Ukraine's city of Soledar under control.
The full control over Soledar makes it possible to cut off the supply of Ukrainian troops in the city of Bakhmut and block the army, ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said at a press briefing in Moscow.
