Several dozen Ukrainians who have fled to Germany and their supporters protested for the delivery of Leopard tanks to Ukraine outside Berlin’s chancellery on Friday night (January 20), chanting “shame.”
It was unclear whether Chancellor Olaf Scholz was still present inside after he hosted the Greek president earlier in the day.
The demonstration took place as the so called Ramstein contact group met at a U.S. air base in southern Germany.
The United States and its allies failed during the talks to convince Berlin to provide its Leopard battle tanks to Ukraine, a key demand from Kyiv as it tries to breath new momentum into its fight against Russian forces.
