DRAMATIC moment a police vehicle knocks a knife-wielding woman to the ground before officers pin her down in the middle of the road in a public arrest in North Carolina.
A woman is facing multiple charges after police said she attacked an officer with a knife in Waynesville, near Asheville on January 24. The Waynesville Police Department said a police officer observed a woman walking in the middle of Russ Avenue shortly after 12:30 pm Monday afternoon.
When the officer exited his vehicle and asked if she needed assistance, the woman refused to leave the road, yelled obscenities at the officer, and “begged” him to shoot her.
Police said the suspect, named as Faith Nicole Wilson, then pulled out a knife and threatened to kill the officer, lunged at him, and ignored commands to drop the weapon.
Wilson was taken into custody and charged with assault with a deadly weapon, assault with physical injury to a law enforcement officer, and resisting a public officer.
