APOCALYPTIC scenes in Almaty after days of violent protests lead to 'dozens' being killed and security forces are ordered to fire weapons.
Protests in Kazakhstan began on Sunday in country’s western Mangistau region following the removal of a cap on the price of liquefied petroleum gas, which is used to power vehicles in the country.
Though the government later rescinded the decision, demonstrations spread to other cities including Kazakhstan’s largest city, Almaty, where clashes between protesters and security forces have turned violent.
