Peter Bone, former deputy leader of the House of Commons, said he doesn't believe Boris Johnson is fighting for his political life today.
The Tory MP told Kay Burley this morning that he does not think the privileges committee has "reached a conclusion" on the case.
He added there is "no evidence" Mr Johnson deliberately misled Parliament over partygate.
