Petersberg climate dialogue in Berlin seeks new goals ahead of world climate conference - DW News.

As the world endures more extreme weather events, countries are still struggling to reach effective deals to curb the effects of climate change. Today climate envoys are meeting in Berlin to find a way forward.

Representatives from 40 countries are attending the Petersberg Climate Dialogue. It brings together a selection of countries each year, to prepare for the annual World Climate Conference, which will take place in November in Dubai.

German Foreign Minster Annalena Baerbock says countries should set targets to replace oil and gas with renewable energy.
