'America no longer charts a course': World leaders criticise US democracy after Capitol riot.

Russia was among countries concerned by the sight of US democracy apparently under siege from its own people.

"This, alas, is actually the bottom," said Konstantin Kosachev, chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the upper house of Russia's parliament. "I say this without a shadow of gloating.

"America no longer charts a course, and therefore has lost all rights to set it, and even more so to impose it on others."
