INCREDIBLE moment brave Ukrainian soldier catches a Russian grenade with his bare hands to rescue his fellow comrades.
A soldier who showed astonishing bravery when he was pummeled with grenades by a military drone as he cowered in a trench has spoken of his miraculous survival.
Pro-Kremlin fighter Rustam Khudainurov, 41, has been identified by the Moscow media as the serviceman seen on a remarkable video coolly throwing away two bombs that landed on him.
He was also seen from the drone footage being close to an explosion from another strike.
Khudainurov, from annexed Donetsk, said that the actual attack by a Ukrainian drone was even more fierce than it seemed from the video with a total of eight grenades dropped on or near him.
He admitted: “I thought it was the end.”
The footage from the unmanned Ukrainian military flyer first appeared on 6 November and showed three grenades targeting the man, with worldwide reports hailing him as “invincible”.
