Day three highlights as impeachment trial against US President Trump continues in Senate.

On day three of Donald Trump's impeachment trial in the Senate, House Democrats have begone to wrap up their arguments against the President.

House Impeachment Manager Adam Schiff has accused Donald Trump of putting his own interests above those of the United States and insisted Rudi Juliani was a "hand-grenade".

Democratic Representative Hakeem Jeffries said that protecting the sanctity of. the US constitution was "more American than baseball or apple pie" and spoke of a wider White House conspiracy, claiming "everyone was in the loop".

Democrat Val Demings said Trump put himself "before the country" and that this impeachment had wider implications than President.

Democratic Representative Jerry Nadler had claimed that President Trump's actions "put even President Nixon To Shame"

He went on to claim the President does not have to commit a crime to be impeached, saying "The Constitution is not a suicide pact. It does not leave us stuck with presidents who abuse their power"
