German chancellor candidate Laschet laughs during somber flood speech - DW News.

CDU chancellor candidate Armin Laschet is under fire. As President Steinmeier gave a speech about areas destroyed by the flooding in western Germany, Laschet was caught laughing in the background. It is not clear what exactly he found so funny.

Earlier this week Laschet faced criticism for calling a journalist "young lady" as she asked critical questions about his climate record.

The flooding in Germany has brought climate change to the forefront of the upcoming election. Could Laschet's laugh gaffe cost him the election?
