The Arc de Triomphe in Paris was draped in fabric, Sunday, September 12, as part of an art installation designed by late artists Christo and Jeanne-Claude.
The artistic duo came up with the idea, titled “L’Arc de Triomphe, Wrapped,” in 1961.
Jeanne-Claude died in 2009 and Christo, who spearheaded the project, died in May 2020.
The sale of Christo’s preparatory work, including his drawings and models, is funding the 14-million-euro project.
Those who visit the art instillation will be able to touch and interact with the silver and blue, recyclable polypropylene fabric. (AP)
