Biden Departs the White House for Camp David

President Joe Biden left the White House for Camp David on Friday after hosting an Indo-Pacific summit that focused on the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change and other fundamental matters in the region.

Earlier in the day, Biden said that talks regarding his $3.5 trillion rebuilding plan have hit a “stalemate" in Congress as he made the case for his expansive effort to recast the nation's tax and spending programs.

Biden spoke as Democrats in the House and Senate labored to finish drafts and overcome differences between the party's centrist and moderate factions.
