Child Rescued From Rubble After Idlib Airstrikes

The Syrian Civil Defense, also known as the White Helmets, released a video, Tuesday, September 7, showing rescuers pulling a child from rubble in Idlib.

Government shelling of rebel-held areas in northwestern Syria killed four people Tuesday night, according to opposition activists.

The shelling of the city of Idlib came after several airstrikes hit the region that borders Turkey earlier in the day.

Rebel-held northwestern Syria has been party to sporadic military activities since a tenuous cease-fire was brokered by Turkey and Russia in March 2020.

Syria’s government has vowed to restore control over the territory it lost during the region’s 10-year conflict. (AP)
