Matt Hancock says 19 NHS staff have died during coronavirus pandemic.

Matt Hancock announced today that 19 NHS heroes have died in Britain’s fight against coronavirus.

The Health Secretary paid tribute to the medics and said an investigation would be launched into each death.

He told Sky News on Saturday: "For them it is a heartbreaking story. I know it affects everybody in the NHS to see their colleagues die."

"The important thing is to find out how, to what extent people contracted it in the line of duty."
