One-hundred-sixteen Ukrainians have been freed in a prisoner swap with Russia, top presidential aide Andriy Yermak said Saturday in a Telegram post.
Russian defense officials the same day announced that 63 Russian troops had returned from Ukraine following the swap, including some “special category” POWs whose release was secured following mediation by the UAE.
A statement issued Saturday by the Russian Defense Ministry did not provide details about these “special category” captives. (AP)
