Housing secretary Michael Gove has told Sophy Ridge ambiguous building regulations “exploited by people who put profits before lives” were a factor in the Grenfell fire tragedy.
He said said he “absolutely wanted to apologise” to the relatives of those who died.
The fire at the tower block in Kensington, west London, killed 72 people.
A public inquiry into the disaster has yet to deliver its conclusions.
